The team that is the driving force

A group of passionate individuals committed to making a positive impact on society. Our diverse team brings together a wealth of knowledge and expertise to tackle some of the most pressing social and environmental issues of our time.

Each one of the team members have deep experience in community service through years of association, including several years with various Rotary Clubs in the Bangalore area and other social organisations. Coming with strong Academic backgrounds, years of Corporate/Business experience and having held various Leadership positions through their careers, the team is bound by strong ethics and have sworn to adopting a value-based system, financial transparency and statutory compliance in all activities of the Foundation.

Founder Trustee

Shankar Subramanian

Shankar Subramanian is a dynamic member of a family of philanthropic Rotarians, including his wife and brother, who are committed to giving back to society while pursuing successful business ventures. He is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Program in Development Management from the prestigious SP Jain Institute of Management and Research and holds numerous certifications from international organizations such as Six Thinking Hats, Lateral Thinking, and Mind Mapping.

As the founder and director of Ninedots Corporate Training Private Ltd, a 22-year-old business consulting and corporate training firm based in Bangalore, Shankar has a strong belief that by helping individuals realize their potential and equipping them with critical business skills, he contributes to the overall success of the organization. His expertise lies in leadership, communication, innovation, teamwork, leadership communication, and effective feedback in various organizations.

Shankar's passion for community service has also led him to be the past president of Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas. During his term, he executed projects worth more than Rs.60 lakhs in areas such as environment, health, education, women empowerment, and vocational excellence. Shankar and his wife are also Major Donors to Rotary International, having contributed more than $12,000 towards various projects. Additionally, he serves as the Country Chairperson for the Rotary Action Group against Multiple Sclerosis.

Ravi Prasad

Meet Raviprasad, a highly qualified and experienced professional, a Senior Partner at M/s. MSSV & Co, Chartered Accountants. After graduating from D Banumiahs College of Commerce, Mysore, he joined M/s. MSSV & Co as an article clerk in 1989 and went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in 1993. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, he presently looks after Corporate Law matters and Audits at the firm.

As a Past President of Rotary Bangalore South Parade and a key member in implementing CSR projects, he has demonstrated his commitment to social causes. He has also served as a member of various committees such as the Annual Accounts Review Committee of The Karnataka State Cricket Association, Financial Report Review Group, Bangalore, and the Auditing & Assurance Standard Board and Corporate Law Committee constituted by the ICAI, New Delhi.

He is a respected figure in his field and has also taken up the role of a faculty at Fiscal Policy Institute. With his vast experience and expertise, he is an asset to any organization he is associated with.

Usha Medina

Usha is a successful entrepreneur and owner of Medina Plastics, a company that specializes in manufacturing plastic injection moulded components. Her business acumen has earned her accolades as a successful entrepreneur. Usha's passion for making a difference in the community extends beyond her work as a business owner.

As a passionate Rotarian, Usha has led her club to the Hall of Fame during her leadership year. She is actively involved in the District avoidable blindness team, where she creates awareness and facilitates treatment for the underprivileged. Her commitment to community service goes beyond Rotary, as she serves on the board of several NGOs, supporting various causes.

Apart from her philanthropic work, Usha has a keen interest in wildlife and photography. She is also the membership chair of the International Association of Rotarian Photographers. Usha's drive and dedication to her passions and community service make her a remarkable individual.

Biju Gangadharan

Biju Gangadharan is a highly adaptable and passionate Bengalurean, having studied in over four different schools and imbibing unique cultures and perspectives. He started his financial career in investment banking at Deutsche Bank before moving to Oracle Financials. Biju then broke away from corporate life to start his own ventures, including the family office Vinuta Investar LLP Co. and co-founding Antzco Pvt Ltd with his younger brother. He's an avid value investor and trader, passionate about the environment, and actively involved in recycling, composting, and terrace gardening.

Biju is an excellent listener and has an approachable air about him, making it easy to engage in conversation. His broad smile and light-heartedness hide his highly intelligent and experienced mind, as he shares anecdotes that are both amusing and powerful. Biju is also actively involved in community work and has served as the Youth Wing Chairman SNS and BPAC Civic Leader. He is the Immediate Past President of Rotary Bangalore DownTown and currently serves as the Project Coordinator for the Women & Girl Empowerment team for the Girls on Wheels Project in Rotary District 3190. Additionally, he is the Founding Chair for Wealth Creator Fellowship for those interested in investing in Stock Markets and other Alternate assets in District 3190.

Harinath Pabbathi

Hari has had a diverse career spanning corporate, entrepreneurial, social, and musical profiles in the USA and India. With a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University, they began their corporate journey in the water industry, serving in regulatory affairs, engineering, and IT for 9 years in the US before moving to the waste management sector in India with Veolia Environnement. They then ventured into the eLearning industry with Ecole Solutions and later financial services, providing guidance to startups and MSMEs to achieve growth. In 2012, they joined the Rotary organization and became president of their club in 2021-22, leading several service projects and developing a passion for community work. Their personal life is filled with the love of family and singing, which they consider their "ikigai hobby." Looking forward, they desire a simple and giving life focused on philanthropy, inspired by their experience with Rotary and the relationships they have formed through it.

Tara Appachu Sharma

Tara Appachu Sharma is a strategic development professional with over 28 years of experience in leading and managing development programs in various sectors. She has expertise in corporate social responsibility (CSR), policy development, program and grants management, and has worked with bilateral and UN agencies, NGOs, and communities. Tara is a gender specialist and has extensive experience in training organizations on gender, HIV/AIDS, and prevention of sexual harassment policy in India. She has served as a Country Director and team lead for four international NGOs and has a proven record of forming successful collaborations with international donors, government functionaries, and stakeholders. Tara has worked with 5 UN agencies, including UNDP, UN Women, and UNICEF. She has considerable experience with corporate groups, leading CSR programs successfully and establishing partnerships with 16 companies in health and education sectors. Tara has led efforts to form collectives of women producers, facilitating and supporting the promotion of women to the entrepreneurial arena. Throughout her career, she has addressed long-term sustainability of development programs with a vision of inclusive development.

Venkataramana Annavarapu

Meet Venkataramana Annavarapu, an accomplished consultant with an impressive academic and professional background. With a B.Tech from IIT Kharagpur and a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad, Ramana has over 30 years of experience in the software industry across India, Singapore, and the US. His career includes over 17 years at Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he honed his expertise and leadership skills.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ramana has dedicated his time and energy to social causes. As a past trustee of IIMPACT, an NGO that provides educational opportunities to marginalized girls in India, Ramana has shown his commitment to the education of underprivileged communities. He has also served as a president of the Rotary Club of Bangalore Oasis, where he executed projects in the areas of environment, health, education, women's empowerment, and vocational excellence.

Ramana's passion for empowering women and promoting education is evident in everything he does. With his impressive track record of professional and philanthropic achievements, he is a valuable asset to any organization.
